"I've been a resident there for a couple of years now and have seen the club go from strength to strength-it is now ranked no.34 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs"

How are you guys doing today?
We're great, I'm getting some tracks together for tomorrow nights gig in Derry at the Elusive9th birthday and Davey is hitting the studio shortly to finish up a DhARMA bootleg for our first liveshow together in 2 weeks time at Kinetik in Belfast.

Can you give us some background on yourself, such as where you currently reside and how you gotinto electronic dance music?
I'm originally from Derry and David is from Lisburn. We met through the club scene as we both went religiously to a club here called 'Lush!' From there we eventually 'got the bug' and started Dj-ing and producing, David used to run some events in Belfast and booked me to play a few times and from then on we built a friendship and then that went on to us starting to produce together. We found that we bounce off each other really well in the studio so it was a no brainer really.

Can you share with us some highlights in your music career?
For me my main highlight would be getting my residency at Yello here in Belfast. I've been a resident there for a couple of years now and have seen the club go from strength to strength-it is now ranked no.34 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs. David's highlight was a couple of years ago he booked and played alongside one of his all time heroes John Graham (aka Quivver) David has been a life long fan of Johns work and had wanted to book him for some time so when it eventually happened he was over the
moon. There has been many highlights for us both but they stick out the most for us :)

What projects are you currently working on?
Over the past few weeks we have been concentrating most of our time on getting our live DhARMA show together, getting bootlegs finished and figuring out the best way for us to technically create the show. Its coming together very nicely.

What projects do you have coming up?
We have deadlines coming out of our ears for hundreds of different things but some of the main things we have coming up is our remix we done for Dirty Vegas coming soon on OM Records and we also have something coming on Bedrock soon.

Where do you find inspiration for your music?
We get all of our inspiration from 'Lost', both of us are crazy about it. But besides that we get inspiration from KFC and the highs and lows of everyday life.

What is your studio set up like and what is your favorite VST Plug-in or tool to use to use when developing a track?
Davey has just finished building our new studio 'The Hatch' and it is a fantastic place to work from on our new projects, its is in the middle of the countryside and a very emotional place to make music. In the heart of the studio he has a 27" iMac running logic 9, Ableton 8 Suite (mainly used for our bootlegs rather than productions) , Novation X Station, KRK 8's which have just been upgraded from the 6's and make a hell of a difference, a Tascam DR07 for field recording and making strange noises, a Remote SL25 (very nice for automapping to synths) an Evolution UC33 and an Oxygen 8 with 2 mac book pros to practice our live stuff alongside Maschine and a bunch of other sexy pieces of kit, and the usual collection of all our favorite Soft Synths. Oh, and a microphone for screaming down when we bring whiskey into the studio ;)

Our favorite VST's at the moment are Synplant which makes some seriously odd unexpected sounds and Zebra 2, we use at least one of these in most of our productions.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending time with our stunning girlfriends (Ciara aka William and Jamie aka Jimmy) and hitting the studio, watching 'Lost' (Obviously)and I also enjoy fishing, playing Bob Dylan records and chasing my cat Hurley, or else taking my little brothers Nolan and Brennan out for the day. David also enjoys stargazing and chicken (more the chicken).

If you could take only 3 things with you to desert island, what would they be and why?
We are supposed to say take our girlfriends but if we are being honest here I would say bring our laptops, a bottle of whiskey and a bargain bucket.

Finally, tell us about your track(s) on AlterImage Recordings.
Our remix for AIR was a little more laid back and groovier than our usual stuff, we tried going down the darker route but it just didn't seem to gel well so we stripped it back and used the vocal sample and added a new hook line-played it out a few times over the past few weeks and it seems to do the business on the floor so we are happy with it.
